“A real volcano”

Swój pierwszy album nagrała jako bardzo młoda dziewczyna, miała wtedy zaledwie osiemnaście lat. Płyta ”Turn The Heat Up” została entuzjastycznie przyjęta przez media oraz fanów bluesa, a  kolejne wydawnictwa potwierdziły ogromny potencjał wokalistki. Shemekia to prawdziwy sceniczny wulkan.
