Shemekia headed to London,
Amsterdam, and Switzerland

Shemekia Copeland will be celebrating the release of her Grammy- and Blues Music Award- nominated album, Outskirts of Love, with a live performance on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 8 pm, at the Brooklyn Bowl in London, U.K.

“What an incredible year of the blues! […] It wouldn’t have been such a great year for blues without the 50 quality releases that we’ve selected as the best of 2015, which you’ll find on the following pages. Unlike previous years, this time we’ve numbered them in descending order and, for the first time, selected an album of the year,” wrote The Blues Magazine‘s editor Ed Mitchell in December. And for the British magazine, this album of the year was Shemekia Copeland’s… Outskirts of Love!

Her European tour will then bring Shemekia and her band to the North Sea Jazz Club in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on March 12th, followed by several shows at the Jazz Festival in Bern, Switzerland, between March 15th and March 19th.
